Travel Junkie Mommy

May 31, 2010 under Website | No Comment Yet

And that’s the wonderful thing about family travel:  it provides you with experiences that will remain locked forever in the scar tissue of your mind. ~Dave Barry (www.quotegarden.com)

That is what Travel Junkie Mommy is all about. It talks about family and how they bond as they go to places. Traveling as far as they can or just being in the park. The website is a three column layout with a pink and dark blue color combination. The header illustrates mountain, buildings, plane, boat and even parachute, all pertains to adventure and travel. Expect to read stories here rather than ordinary stuffs about places.

Reviews Overload

May 28, 2010 under Website | No Comment Yet

Sometimes I wish my mind has document management software. It’s been running non stop.I just have so many things to think of and so many websites to review. And then there’s movie too. Sometimes I messed up my activities, so a system to help me manage my thoughts will really be helpful.. if there is something like that.

Anyways, this week has been really crazy. I have been turned into a zombie review. I am trying to win in a contest where the most numbered of points win. And you can gain points by reviewing sponsors blogs..the last time I checked it was more than 30. I can do it.. I know I can.

I Love This Site

Mar 29, 2010 under Website | No Comment Yet

I love this site! I love the I Love Darly Site. Anna was one of the lucky three who guessed a small guessing game I got in my parenting blog. A month ago, I was browsing her site since I promised that who ever can guess it correctly will bring home $1M, er, a blog review from me. I love it, I super duper love it. Her template is one of the finest I have seen. Only later that I learned that her template comes from K. If I say I love it again, that would be kissing K’s A. So I will just talk about how Anna managed to make the template prettier. For one, the photo of her angel on the header is so cute. Navigation bar are clearly seen below it with links on three of the most loved page of her site, Home, Disclosure Poilicy and Contact. On her side bar, elements such as categories or label can be found. It makes reading her blog easier, specially if you were there to back read her entries. Maybe a little tweaking on her adsense will make it perfect (or maybe it’s just me).

Anna is a mom like me and you know where moms like us party? Mommy Moments! Yes, that’s why she landed this review site, she was also a MMers. And she do paid post too and she write really well (unlike those people who pretend they got head aches for copying paid post), even her paid post articles are worth a read. And just like any mom blogger, her blog is dominated by her angel, Thea. Thea won 7th place in Pinoy Smile Contest and though she ever won first place, her cutey smile is a winner to us. Also check out Anna’s post on Potty Training and for sure Mommies will learn something from it.

Chris Chronicles

Mar 22, 2010 under Website | 4 Comments

There was a post in my parenting blog where in I asked my readers to guess something. I promised that the first three will win a blog review for me. I am done with the first one who guessed it right. Check out my review for here cooking blog here. Two more sites to go.

Marce Chris was one of the three who guessed it right. Instead of reviewing her Mommy Journey and Inspirational Insights, I decide to review her newest blogby (blog baby), CHRIS CHRONICLES. This blog is all about Chris, it’s her personal site where she post reviews, girly stuffs, politics, entertainment and anything that is worth writing for (except of course being a SAHM because she have Mommy Journey for that and being a God’s child, Inspirational Insights talks about that).

Her template is somewhat different from templates I have seen but I love it! It is a chronicle blog, so the almost an organizer template fits with her title. But she can lessen the number of post displayed on the hoe page to make it cleaner. Or she can add some more widgets to the sidebar. Navigation was really easy since the menu bar displays the three vital parts of a website, home page, disclosure policy and link exchange. Categories and recent post are well laid out on the sidebar. I liked how it was placed there. The first few widgets are for blog promotions eg, button grabbing, recent post, recent comments. Then there’s the chat box that encourage interaction with her readers. Putting the images below is good move as it won’t distract the readers. Most of her articles where presented with photos which made it more interesting and fun to read. She also include articles that are  thelpful and informative, check out her post about the rotating brown outs.

If you want to learn more about the woman behind the famous Mommy Moments, you should head on to Chris Chronicles and discover how fun and lively she can be, minus the apron and the bibs.
