Crayons n’ Pencil

Is it Christmas yet? No? I thought it was! OK I just got back from Crayons N’ Pencil and thought it was Christmas already. The template of the website is soo Christmas. It is like a Christmas gift wrapper and though it ifs a bit off, I find it adorable! The site has falling snows on its header and it is animated which gives the site a high entertaining value. I think I can just stare on the website’s header for hours and I won’t be bored. The use of a Christmas themed template is a wise move but I do hope the author will change it after the Christmas season.

Go head on the About page of the website and you will learn that is all about almost everything and anything.  It cover topics about parenting, personal development and even about earning online. The site is born out of the author’s desire to write. And indeed the author’s love for writing is very obvious on the website. It has some advertisement but the loading is still fast. I really like the site because of its template (I might even dream about the snowflakes tonight). Oh, the author also participate in one of my favorite meme, Girls Talk!

A Certified Blogger

Blogging is a passion. When I started blogging, I knew that I would love it. I love writing and I love the social interaction I got from blogging. Some people blog for money and some for the sake of blogging. Some maybe like me who loves the challenge of it and enjoy the earning it gives. I still not consider myself as a certified blogger (I am still novice on blogging, eherm eherm) but I knew one who is. The Certified Pinoy Blogger that is. This is a website owned by a Filipino who is currently living in Singapore. In his site it says, that “the pinoy blogger dominates Singapore blogosphere” (or blogniverse, in my term). Clearly the author knew blogging for some time now. He is authoritative on his claim about blogging.

In technical aspects, it seems that he really is a pro when it comes to blogging. I am new on this one but I do my homework so I know what an seo friendly and the likes mean. The template of the website is very SEO friendly. I guess the author put much effort for that. The pages are well indexed too and key elements like where to contact the author in case you want to advertise on his site is visible. Lastly, the author utilize social networking sites for the site’s exposure. So I must say, that the title is very apt for the website.

A Great Journey

The Mommy Journey is a website about a mom’s journey through motherhood. In a more common term or blog term, this is a mommy blog. Just like any other mommy blog, this one talks about being a mommy, struggles of being one and triumphs and joy of being a mom. And it also talks about the kids of the author. What made this site different from other mommy blog is its weekly theme, Mommy Moments. Through this meme, the site made it possible for mommy bloggers to meet and know each other. For that I highly recommend this site to every mommy blogger out there.

I love wearing slings, in fact, the moment I learned about it, I am now slingaholic (a woman addicted to wearing a sling). The header of the website with a mommy wearing a sling is cool for my taste. The site loads fast and though it is decorated with images on the sidebar, t looked organized to me. Articles are written in a friendly tone, more like the author is telling a story to its reader.Anybody can easily relate to what  the author is talking about. Head on to the site and learn more about Mommy Journey.

The History of HER Blog

The first one that I noticed about this site is its fabicon. It will catch any one’s attention. If the fabicon is not enough for your attention, the pinkness of this site will stop your track. What site am I talking about? Her and History. Yes, the blog is about her,the author ad her life that is making a history. The site talks about the experiences of the author and her family. It talks about her kid and even her teaching experiences.

The site loads a bit slow but you can attribute it to the images displayed on the site. It might not be a good thing for some but I see it as a plus point. It clearly say that the blog has a lot of network and friends on the Internet. I said that the fabicon is eye catching and the template too. It is in bright pink which makes it more interesting and memorable. The color combination backs up the topics of the blog, being a blog by a woman. Even the header says that the site is owned by a woman. Reading on, one will learn that the author is an educator. As expected the writing style and the grammar of the website is an A.  Lastly, the use of the images on each post made the blog a very nice site to visit.

Working At Home Is FUN

Nov 10, 2009 under Fedhz Contest, Website | 9 Comments

Now that moms have a lot of choices, it is not shocking to find moms who choose to stay at home and work at the same time. They call themselves work at home moms or WAHM. The Internet gave mothers a chance to be with their family and earn at the same time. It’s addicting, I tell you. You are earning while having the time of your life with your kids. Imagine being able to cook, do the laundry and even clean the house while earning on the side. Our WAHM at Wahmaholic was not excused on that addiction. The header says so, Wahmahlic means a woman addicted to being a Work At Home Mom.

The site is all about being a work at home mom, obviously, but on the side it also talks about other stuffs like corn. It seems that the author is in love with corn. a person who loves corn is corny? na ah.. As you look on the site, there is not one design that is mushy. It is more like a professional website, key elements and key links are displayed on right places. The header might be a bit big but it adds up to the character of the website. If it has been smaller, I might find the site a bit boring. The best part of the site (or the one I find most entertaining) is the comment section. Here you can find some icons to use when you want to post a comment. A welcoming feel to any reader, a plus point in encouraging comments I say.
