With the ever changing climate we are experiencing, change on our basic thing is also a must. For example, ordinary blanket can no longer can keep us warm, so what can we do? We should shift from ordinary blankets to electric blanket. But before making the big switch, let me just give you some insights about this product.

I am living on a tropical country so I have no use for electric blankets, but my marce (Sat’s godmother) lives in a colder part of this country. She lives in Baguio and often she would complain about the weather being too cold. And since I heard about electric blankets and its benefits, this post is for my marce.

Electric blankets are blankets with electric devices to keep it warm. The electric device is usually placed on top of the mattress. There are different kind or electric blankets and they also  comes in different sizes. Looking for the perfect blanket that fits you depends on your preference. You might wanna consider your heating need and your budget too.

For those who are afraid of electric blanket thinking it can be hazardous, you go it all wrong there. All you need is a proper care to prevent things from happening, just like in ordinary blankets, care is the key. Electric blankets are not to be fold so as not to damage the electrical wiring. It is best to put on an extra bed or roll it. Another thing, keep away from second hand electric blanket because you don’t know the history of those and can pose danger to you. You should also keep in mind that blankets older that ten years are not safe anymore.
