Who Love Contest?
Do you like joining contest? Do you think luck is always on your side? Or are you just happy facing the challenge of joining any contest? If your answer is yes on any question above, well there is a one stop place for you. I Luv Contest is a website that is dedicated to spreading the news about, what else, but contests. Obviously the author of hte website really loves joining any contest on the Internet. The author is a female and you find in the site that she do love giveaways, may it be a simple earrings or a pillow and of course even cash giveaways (and who would say no to to cash? ahem ahem)
I can say that the site contains a lot of information about any contest happening on the Internet. Although mechanics are not stated on each post, each entries are linked on the proper landing page of the contest it talks about. Content wise, I cannot argue more as the content of the site is a sure hit to any one looking for contest to join. The lay out of the site is very simple ad even the header is simple too. Although some images on the sidebar are not well aligned, I can still say that the site is organized.
Lil Dolly Princess
I am not the typical girl who is so loco over color pink. In fact, I don’t like pink, it’s too girly for my taste. So when I see website with pink templates, I always want to close it as soon as I can. Azumi is an exception though (OK I do give a lot of exception specially if I am friends with the author). It has juts the right amount of pink on it, not to much, not to pretty, just right. the whiteness of the body or the main wrap balanced the pinkness of the website. The header is so lively and I adore the fabicon, makes it easy to remember.
Azumi or Lil Dolly Princess is the daughter of the author. Obviously the website is about this adorable princess. It tells about the story of their baby. Articles are written in a very personal tone. Some articles was written and dedicated for Azumi. The tones of these are of course loving, which made it more easy to relate to. As a mother, I am really touched by this website. I wish I can make a site like this for my kiddos (but that would be impossible a I have four already).
A Praise Blog
I highly salute people who is so open with their beliefs. I greatly appreciate it when they make an effort to share their faith to other people. Priest, Pastors and the likes, their life is very inspiring. So knowing a Praise Blog is just the same. I highly commend the author for putting up one. The blog is title Praise God With All My Heart (“Let us magnify the Lord at all times. His praise shall continuously be on our mouths. For He is worthy to be praised”), so it is very obvious that this site is a blog about God. A very inspiring one I must say. If you must really want to know Why do we have to praise God, head on to the website to know why (or click here)
The contents are inspiring yes but the text color of the site can be hurtful to the eye at times. There were articles were the text links overlaps with the color of the background. I ssuggest that the author do something about it to make it more readable and pleasing to the eye. Aside from that the site is good, well organized widgets and nice template. The colors of the background are nice and warm. The site also loads fast and it is easy to look around as the archives are placed on a very visible area. Head on the this Praise Blog and be inspired with it.
Sweet Young Blog
Karendyle.com is a personal website of a young Filipina blogger. The author is very young and still studying. She is studying Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. The site talks about the author’s personal life, events and anything that the author wants to talk about. It also talk about topics that a college student may want to know. I am not a college student but reading her blog reminds me of my college days. It is a fun good read and anyone can relate to the website.
As you know I am not into pink and sometimes I cringe when I see uber pink websites. This site, I love how it plays with pink, using it on texts and nothing more. The site as a whole is very clean, without much images and clutter. The use of ads on the sidebar is not distracting because the ads blends well with the website. Links as to where to contact the author is very visible on the navigation bar. Archives are seen on the sidebar which made it easier to look around the website. Go and have a feel of what it is being a blogger and being a student at the same time. ( wish I already knew how to blog when I was still in college, heck, I could use the moolah to buy me some stuffs then)
Pinoy Sounding Board
Whenever I go blog hopping and discover a new website, I always look on the about me or the about the website page. I am too lazy to look around, read more articles before knowing the author. It is like I read first the about me page and if I like what I read, I head on to knowing the website more. I need to review a website (for fedhz contest) and Pinoy Sounding Board is one of it. So as usual I head first to the about me page of the site. I was highly entertained by it. The author of the site knew how to write and knows how to humor the readers. The site is all about the author’s issue on blogging, politics, showbiz and a lot more. Blogging Issue is its main topic I guess (judging form the articles related to it).
I like the website’s design and I envy the author for choosing that design (lay out). I dream of having that kind of template but I am afraid I cannot pull it off. There is not much ads on the website and not much images too. The template is clean having that combination. White and black is very classic and very pleasing to the eye. The articles are well archived and the links of main elements of a website are placed properly (like how to contact the author and the likes).
